Dear Archers Artemis Community,

Getting to know all of you these last eleven and a half years has been one of the greatest joys of my life. When I started Archers Artemis I knew we had the potential to create something magical. I just did not know how incredible it would be to have the opportunity to be your coach and teacher. We have trained thousands of archers and scores of instructors during this time. We have seen children and adults alike gain competence and confidence as they develop their love of archery. I owe a debt of gratitude to the many volunteers who have helped Archers Artemis grow by becoming instructors, coaches and mentors. Many of you have continued to grow your own love of archery and are passing that on. I can think of no greater legacy.

As I look ahead to my retirement, the time has come for us to close our metaphorical doors. And when we do on October 4th, I will have no regret. We have been through many challenges over the years, and I am proud of how so many of you have been there to help us weather our various storms and rise to even greater heights. And the sadness of not seeing many of you on a regular basis cannot compare with the joy I feel knowing you will take your love of archery forward as coaches, instructors, and archers.

Inclement Weather Policy

Archers Artemis does not hold outdoor classes in significant rain, thunderstorms, or high winds. We may still hold classes in light rain, or cold and hot conditions, if deemed safe for athletic activities.

If the weather is not appropriate for shooting, students and parents/guardians registered for classes on that day will receive a notice by 5PM the day before the class is scheduled. We recognize that New England weather can change quickly, and sometimes we may get it wrong. However, we prefer to err on the side of caution and provide advanced notice so that students have ample time to make alternate plans over the weekend.

If a class is cancelled due to weather, we will have make-up options available on the schedule. You will not be required to pay extra for make-up classes related to weather cancellations. Please make sure to sign up for your chosen make-up session through our system so we can plan accordingly.

If you have a private lesson scheduled, we will decide together if cancelling is appropriate, and we will schedule an alternate date accordingly.
