Classes

Classes will begin again in April 2025. Registration will be up by mid-February.

Classes open to ages 8 and up. For students younger than age 8, private lessons are available.

There are no refunds. In the case of a medical situation, we will offer a credit that will be valid through Oct 1 of that calendar year.

If registrations for any given class is fewer than 4 people, we reserve the right to cancel the class or reduce the class time to less than 55 minutes. You will be notified prior to that class.

Introduction to Archery

Introduction to Archery classes will take place at 9AM on Saturday and Sunday. This class is for anyone ages 8 and older. If you have never done archery, shot years ago at camp or school, or are self-taught, this is the starting place for you. During this four-week class, you will learn our safety guidelines and the basics of the National Training System while having lots of fun! The equipment is provided and includedin the fee.

If you miss an Introduction class you have two make-up options. If there is room in the other class being held that week, you may email Coach Ricci and ask to attend. If you cannot do that, there are specific dates offered for each series. If neither of those options work you will lose that week’s class.

Cost: 145.00 for the four week series


Beginner Archery

This class is perfect for new graduates of the Introduction to Archery series as well as anyone who needs to work on the foundations of the National Training System. This class is suitable for kids aged 8+ andadults and will feature mixed age groups. If you miss a class you may attend another Beginner class during the series, if there is room, or you may use an Open Shoot as a makeup. All make ups must be done within two weeks of the completion of the class.

Equipment is provided but you will need to own an arm guard, a finger sling, and a stretch band.

Cost: 145.00 for the four week series


Intermediate Archery

Intermediate Archery is the bridge to more in-depth learning about the National Training System and how to mentally prepare to be a great archer. This class is for youth and adults and will feature mixed aged groups. Intermediate Archery is designed for students who have successfully completed the requirements of the Beginner Archery course.If you are unsure whether you should take Beginner or Intermediate classes this season, please email Coach Ricci. You may end up staying in a Beginner and/or Intermediate class for several sessions if we feel you or your child can benefit from remaining at that level. You will need to own an arm guard, finger sling and a stretch band. If you miss a class you may attend another Intermediate class during the series, if there is room, or you may use an Open Shoot as a makeup. Advanced Archery

Advanced Archery is an invite-only class for more experienced archers who have completed at least one series of the Self-Coaching program or equivalent series of classes. This class will focus on the finer detailsof the National Training System and help archers develop the mental and physical skills for earning upper-level pins and/or attending tournaments. Please email Coach Ricci if you are interested in thisclass. If you miss a class you may attend another Advanced class during the series, if there is room, or you may use an Open Shoot as a makeup. All make ups must be done within two weeks of the completion of the class.

Cost: 145.00 for the four week series


Social Shooting Club

The Social Shooting Club is an opportunity to practice archery up to several times a week to improve your skills and to be part of a fun community. At least twice a month, one of the shoots will be listed as apin shoot so you will have an opportunity to earn your Junior Olympic Archery Development Pin or Adult Archery Development Pin if you are a member of USA Archery. When you register for this series you willreceive a promo code to use so when you register for each individual open shoot or pin shoot you will not be charged for each individual event. There will be at least five or six possible shooting timesavailable each week to include evenings and weekends, weather and staff dependent.

Cost: 275.00 for the entire season


Pin Shoot Tournaments

Pin shoots are for existing students or with permission from Coach Ricci. Outdoors, weather permitting.

Open Shooting (and Coach Directed Open Shooting)

Open Shooting is available to any archer who has completed a minimum of our Introduction to Archery class or has permission from Coach Ricci. Check the calendar for dates. You must register as there are no walk-ins.

Coach Directed Open Shooting is an opportunity to get some specific feedback on one or two points during Open Shooting hours. You will decide on a specific question or we will help you figure out the most important aspect of your shot you could be working on during that hour. Check the calendar for dates. You must register as there are no walk-ins.

Cost: 19.00 (Open Shooting)

Private Party

Cost: 45.00 per person with a minimum of 8 people

Private and Semi-Private Lessons

Private and semi-private lessons (lessons for two people) are available. The initial lesson is for 60 minutes. After that, it is possible to have a 30-minute or a 45-minute session.


Instructor Training

USA Archery Instructor Training Level 1 Practicum

In this USA Archery Level 1 Instructor practical course you will review the information you learned in your Level 1 Instructor online course and put it into practice. Specifically, we will learn about range safety,range setup, how to run a beginner class and learn how to create a lesson plan. We will review the steps of shooting. You will learn the basics of equipment and repair. In order to take this practicalcomponent you must complete the online Level 1 Instructor course.

USA Archery Instructor Training Level 2 Practicum

In this course we will review and put into practice the information learned in the USA Archery Level 2 Instructor Training on line course to include, range safety, range setup, how to run a beginner class andlearn how to create a lesson plan. We will review the steps of shooting and you will learn how to teach them. We will review the Four Coaching Positions and learn to problem solve shots based on where the arrows land. You will learn the basics of equipment and repair. In order to take this practical component you must complete the online Level 2 Instructor course, complete Safesport and complete a background check.

How to Buy Equipment Class

Buying your own bow is exciting, but it can also be complicated and confusing. With so many components and options, you need to be sure you’re investing in equipment that meets your current needs and prepares you for your future goals.  In this class, we will: 

  • Review the basics of bows, arrows, and shooting accessories
  • Explain the terms you need to know when looking for equipment
  • Create a personalized shopping list for your new set-up

In case of inclement weather, this class can be primarily on line. We will include an opportunity for you to get measured for your arrows on the range and ask any additional questions. Parents, if you are buying for your children, it is best that both of you be there but only register for one person.
